Turning Point

Handmade Furniture and Woodturning by Keverne Dewick

-History-

Watching a guy selling his handmade guitars at the 1986 Cambridge Folk Festival was the inspiration that set me on a wood-based pathway.
Turned Bowls   I established a small turning workshop in 1989 and a year later linked up with Edward Barnsly trained turner/furniture maker, Aubrey Hammond.
There then followed a six year period during which we worked on many varied projects including commissioned furniture, kitchens, office furniture and speculative one-off turnings culminating in the establishing of a turning studio at Alby Crafts in Norfolk.
Specialising in one-off turned pieces and commissioned furniture, the studio has been running successfully for the past six years.
